Welcome to
the Hampshire
Carers Partnership

Hampshire Carers Partnership brings together carers, health services, local authorities, and voluntary organisations to improve support for unpaid carers across Hampshire. Our shared aim is simple: to recognise carers, make support easier to find, and help carers maintain a life alongside their caring role.

What is a carer?

A carer is anyone who provides unpaid help or support to a relative, friend, or neighbour who could not manage without that support due to illness, disability, mental health needs, addiction, or age. Many people do not think of themselves as carers — they see what they do as just being a partner, parent, child, or friend — and as a result may miss out on the information and help available to them.

The Partnership was established to coordinate and strengthen how organisations work together with carers across Hampshire. Through a shared strategy and joint action, partners are improving how carers are identified, how they access advice and services, and how their health, wellbeing, employment, and education needs are supported.

This website is part of that commitment. It provides a central, easy-to-use hub where carers, including young carers and those who may not yet recognise themselves as carers can find clear information, practical guidance, and trusted signposting to local and national support.
